1. Multi-Purpose Splicer.

A splicer is now available which will perform the following functions:

1. Splice one or two carrier strips using a welding technique.

2. Weld stock material.

3. Butt splice one or two carrier strips using the silver solder technique.

4. Butt splice stock material using the silver solder technique.

To perform function (1) select WELD and ONE or TWO CARRIERS on the control panel.

To perform function (2) select WELD and STOCK on the control panel.

To perform function (3) select SOLDER and ONE or TWO CARRIERS on the control panel

To perform function (4) select SOLDER and STOCK on the control panel

To change from (1) to (2) and from (3) to (4) it is also necessary to change the top electrode assembly (which is fastened with two screws) to take the wider electrode.
